February 10th, 2019 “Lord, Guard My Mind”

“Lord, Guard My Mind”

This past Sunday the sermon title was “Thinking Like Jesus”. Today is a second sermon on the subject of the mind of Christ and thinking like Jesus. I shared a book by Dr. Dennis Kinlaw  called , “The Mind of Christ” with you last week. If you get an opportunity to read it, I highly recommend it.

I have ordered 5 copies if you are interested - $12.00. You can also order from (CBD Christian Book Distributor)

By the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit we can continually be transformed to think more and more like Jesus. Will you surrender your mind to the Lord – today?

Philippians 2:5  (NKJV) Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,…

Jeremiah 17:9-11 9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? 10 I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.

Mark 12:30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’

Philippians 4:6-8 New King James Version (NKJV)

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Pastor Harvey
