Prayer Shawl Prayer Cap/Toboggan
Our Prayer Shawl Ministry is all about reaching out to those in special need of prayer and loving support. Through this ministry, prayer shawls, caps, and scarfs are made by a group of ladies who meet each Monday at 10AM in the Annex for fellowship, prayer, and to do knitting for the shawls. Because this is a spiritual practice, the knitters offer the work of their hands to God. They pray over each and every shawl before it is given. They work in a group and individually at home, during worship services, Sunday School classes, Bible studies, and other gatherings. When the prayer shawl is given, it represents the whole Church and carries with it the love and prayers of the Christian community of LMUMC.
